Principal SQA Engineer

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or Equivalent, (B. Tech) in CS, IT or ECE or equivalent.

• Minimum ten (10) years of industry experience.

• Lead and manage the quality assurance activities for diverse and complex projects.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases with minimal direction in an Agile Scrum Framework.
• Hands on building the automation framework for the front-end and back-end applications from scratch and leading the team from the front.
• Perform regression testing and install/upgrade testing during the regression phase.
• Analyze test failures to identify root causes and follow up with the development team for resolution.
• Interact and collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to understand testing requirements, provide updates, and highlight issues.
• Apply advanced domain, system, and process knowledge to establish QA processes that ensure high standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create project estimates and contribute to the design of new product functionality.
• Proactively identify and discuss challenges, risks, and mitigation plans with managers and technical leads.
• Work effectively in an Agile Scrum Environment, participating in refinement and planning meetings.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Communicate effectively with clients, including senior management, to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Positive attitude to take the leadership and ownership to meet the project deadline.
• Setting the objectives or KPIs for the team members and helping them to achieve.

• Minimum ten (10) years of industry experience in software quality assurance, with at least three (3) years in a senior or principal role.
• Proven track record in leading QA activities for complex projects, particularly in industries such as FinTech, Medical Trials, and Cold Chain Management.
• Hands on knowledge building framework by using opensource such as Selenium/WebdriverIO and Java/JavaScript or Python.
• Hands on knowledge of Microservices component and integration testing. Working proficiency on tools such as Postman or any other suitable opensource API testing tool.
• Practical knowledge on implementing BDD approaches inside an Agile environment
• Proficiency in writing noSQL, SQL queries and understanding the relational database management system.
• Experience working on Azure functions and testing their outcome.
• Experience with test and defect management tools such as Jira, and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong programming, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure and demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team.

• Certification in relevant QA methodologies or tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
