Data Engineer (Power BI)

• B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from any reputed university.

• Two (02) to four (04) years of industry experience.

• Create interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
• Work with the Power BI Reporting team and collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from diverse sources, such as databases, APIs, and Excel spreadsheets into the Power BI solutions.
• Use data visualization to turn sophisticated data into Analytics/Dashboards.
• Expert in publishing reports to internal and external portals, setting up the necessary connection details, and scheduling.
• Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports to improve performance, usability, and data accuracy.
• Sharing reports with appropriate users or groups within the organization.
• Continuously monitor and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and user experience.
• Create reports to provide transparency to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage technical documentation regarding business requirements and reports.
• SQL query development and performance tuning.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements.
• Analyze and define key performance indicators (KPIs) as per the business needs.
• Prepare the technical specifications as per the business requirements and propose the estimated deadline.
• Prepare the documentation with explanations of the algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships.
• Regularly communicate with US clients.

• Proven experience building reports or dashboards in a data visualization tool like Power BI.
• Good experience in Data Modelling in Power BI and/or SQL.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and relational databases.
• Knowledge of SQL queries and database concepts for data extraction and manipulation.
• Advanced SQL development skills preferably in Azure SQL
• Create data models and develop data queries using Power Query (M) and DAX language to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Familiarity with maintaining a DevOps board is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques for data analysis.
• Capable of implementing row-level security, paginated reports on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
• Passionate about design, easy to read, eye-friendly, and understandable reports.
• Understand row-level data security.
• Basics of version control system (check-in, check-out, branching, merging etc.), preferably git.
• Analytical capabilities to relate data to reports and visuals.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• High integrity and intellectuality.
• Must be willing to work flexible office hours.
• Willing to take ownership and handle workload proactively.
• Adhere to teamwork and always represent the team in work and achievement.
• Highly Motivated to learn and work with new technologies.

• Knowledge of ETL, ML models and libraries.
• Working knowledge of a large data set.
• Working with other BI reporting tools.
